Wastewater Treatment & Collection

 

Design of wastewater treatment plants including sequencing batch reactor (SBR), and extended aeration plants along with the design of plant headworks, disinfection, and tertiary treatment are provided by our experienced team.

 

 

Our team has designed numerous wastewater collection systems including the design of lift stations, low pressure sewer systems, and gravity collection systems.

 

 

 

Steiner Ranch Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion

 

The Travis County W.C.I.D. No. 17’s Steiner Ranch Wastewater Plant Expansion project included two separate phases of expansion. The first phase of the expansion included installation of two new sequencing batch reactor (SBR) basins, a new headworks facility, and a new influent equalization basin. The second phase included new tertiary treatment and the conversion of existing basins to sludge digester basins. The expansion projects have expanded the plant capacity from 0.525-MGD to 1.5-MGD.

 

City of Greenville Wastewater Reclamation Center Improvements

 

The City of Greenville’s Wastewater Reclamation Center Improvements project included the expansion of the existing wastewater plant to a capacity of 6.0-MGD, with a future capacity of 12.0-MGD. The project included the installation of a new headworks facility, lift station, SBR basins, effluent equalization basin, and the conversion of two existing basins to sludge holding and aeration basins.

 

Flintrock Lift Station A Expansion

 

The Travis County W.C.I.D. No. 17’s Lift Station A Expansion project included the expansion of an existing lift station in order to meet increased flows in the surrounding area. The project included the installation of a new triplex lift station which was then connected to the existing triplex lift station, resulting in a 6-pump lift station. The project included a new 10-ft diameter wet-well, valve-vault, generator, control panel, retaining wall, and associated site improvements.

 

River Bend Lift Station

 

The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority’s River Bend Lift Station project included the replacement of an existing lift station. The project included the installation of a new triplex lift station including a new wet-well, valve-vault, generator, and electrical and instrumentation improvements. Special design considerations were accounted for since the lift station is located within the 100-yr floodplain, and due to the proximity to Lake Dunlap, groundwater was present at the site.

 

Travis Vista & Marshall Ford Area Improvements

 

The Travis County W.C.I.D. No. 17’s Travis Vista & Marshall Ford Area Improvements project included the installation of a low pressure sewer system in the two neighborhoods as part of an effort to regionalize wastewater treatment by allowing residents to abandoned their septic systems and connect to the low pressure sewer system. The project included over 20,000-LF of force main installation on 10 streets in the Travis Vista & Marshall Ford neighborhoods. The project also consisted of waterline replacement and pavement repair.
